Wisconsin Firearms & Transfers is a division of Riot, LLC. All business is hereby conducted as Riot, LLC. Riot, LLC may be referred to as “Riot, LLC”, “Wisconsin Firearms & Transfers”, “WFT”, “us”, or “we” within this document.
By doing business with WFT, the customer (“you”) agrees to all of the Terms and Conditions of Sale contained within this document. WFT retains the right to modify our Terms and Conditions of Sale without notice.
Sales and Refunds
All sales are final. WFT retains the right to refuse any and all refund requests. All government mandated fees are required to be paid by the buyer prior to the start of a transfer or sale.
In the event the firearm shipment is rejected by the receiving FFL, any and all additional fees will be charged to the seller. If the seller fails to pay the return fees or WFT is not able to ship the package (see “Storage Fees”) within four (4) weeks from initial delivery, the firearm shall become the property of the FFL that currently possesses it.
In the event that a purchase is returned or an ordered is cancelled, the item will be subject to a $75 restocking fee. Additionally, the cost of shipping will not be refunded, even if a coupon for free shipping was applied. Refunds will only be issued to the credit card used for purchase and may take up to 15 business days to complete.
Firearms, Knives, and Restricted Items
Firearms can be purchased online just like any other product. The only difference is that all firearms must be shipped to a federally licensed dealer (FFL) for you to pick up. Age restrictions do apply and vary by state. You are responsible for knowing the age restrictions of your state.
The background check is conducted by the receiving FFL dealer and completed by you, the actual buyer/transferee.
You must contact the receiving FFL dealer of your choice to make them aware of the transfer. It is recommended that you inquire about any possible transfer fees they may charge.
You must be aware of all rules and regulations of your jurisdiction, including all local, state, and/or Federal laws that may restrict you from owning and/or purchasing items listed for sale.
WFT is not responsible if you order an item that is not legal in your state or legal for you to posses. If an item is not legal for you to own and/or possess, WFT will NOT issue a refund for the item(s).
Right of Refusal
WFT retains the right to refuse the sale or transfer of a firearm to anyone based on “gut feeling” or instinct. WFT will not discriminate based on any of the federally protected characteristics. Situations may include, but are not limited to, a feeling that the purchaser may be intending to commit a crime, do harm to his or herself or other persons, or is purchasing a firearm on behalf of any other individual (commonly known as a straw sale). Any behavior deemed suspicious by WFT shall be grounds for refusal of sale.
Transfers of firearms shall be priced as listed below. Pricing is based on a per appointment basis. Multiple appointments do not qualify for incremental pricing.
Long guns, handguns, and firearms cost $30.00 for the first transfer and an additional $10.00 per firearm transferred at the same appointment. This pricing does not include the WI State handgun fee of $10.00. The WI State handgun fee is added to the price of each handgun transfer.
WFT accepts cash or credit card. We do not accept personal checks, money orders, certified checks, or cash-on-delivery.
WFT offers a variety of shipping options along with in-person pick up. WFT retains the right to ship via any carrier of our choosing. All shipments will require an adult signature upon delivery.
All firearms will be shipped to the FFL dealer of your choice. It is your responsibility to contact the FFL prior to us shipping.
All returned shipments are subject to the restocking fees as listed above in Sales and Refunds.
WFT is not liable for any actions or consequences resulting from the legal purchase or transfer of a firearm.
WFT must be provided with a valid copy of the receiving FFL’s license prior to shipping the firearm.
WFT retains the right to charge the buyer or seller of a firearm a storage fee of $10 per calendar day for any firearm unclaimed starting from the day the firearm was initially delivered. This includes, but is not limited to, if a buyer fails to make or show up to an appointment; if a buyer receives a denial during their background check; if a buyer is denied a transfer by WFT; or if a buyer fails to provide the license of the local FFL they are requesting we ship a purchase to.
Storage fees will also be assessed in the event that the seller sends a shipping label but the shipping company will not accept the package. This includes, but is not limited to, if the shipping company’s stores are not open during regular business hours; if the shipping company charges a fee to WFT for a package pick-up; or if the shipping company’s store is more than five (5) miles from the store location.
